Hubby and I were craving for good food again and since we have yet to shop for our supplies, we decided to just go out and have fun yesterday.
I know that you guys are getting sick and tired of my blogs about Eastwood City in Libis, but heck! There's still so much to discover in this microcosm of a city.
We got there by 7PM and we had dinner first. We stopped by The Cookbook Kitchen (a place recommended by a friend of mine). After dinner, we went to the park of Eastwood Mall and watched this free concert.
I am not into hiphop music, but these performers were awesome! Most of those whom I saw perform are Filipino-Americans and one of the performers Cello, even sang a song dedicated to Filipino women. We don't hear those much these days.
After the heart thumping and ear drum breaking music scene, we walked towards the central plaza. There was a bazaar and hubby decided to buy me two pairs of flat sandals. The price Php250 for two pairs. Cheap and beautiful! Best of all, they used leather for the materials and the sole, not slippery!
We hung out for a while and we decided to explore the new Eastwood Mall a little more. We went to Fullybooked and since they had copies of books that were open for the public to read, we decided to look for books which would interest us the most.
I wandered into the photography section of the book shop and was amazed at some of the photos that I saw in the books.
I also took a peek into some architectural and interior design photography books. I hope the tips I got would be more than enough to help me get through when shooting buildings and interiors.
That's hubby reading a book that he found real good.
And my last stop, their new age section. I was surprised that they have some tarot card decks and sets available to the general public.
We walked around some more and landed at the food bazaar inside the mall. We passed by a French chef who let us taste a sample of his pears-almond pie (sorry I don't have photos, I'll be going back there to take some sometime soon). We ended up buying 2 delicious slices from him.
What am I going back there for?
*The wasabi vinigrette
*The chili mango vodka jam
*The sinaing na tawilis
And some other great gourmet finds. Will update you guys about it when I go back there.
