As with the CTS-V Coupe, everything forward of the A-pillars was lifted straight from the CTS-V Sedan and mated to the Cadillac Sport Wagon's body. Not everything is the same, of course. The show special you see here features a new rear fascia with a special roof-edge spoiler and integrated third brake light, all of which are unique to the concept and could see production in the future. The car is finished in the same Midnight Silver paint as the Sixteen Concept, augmented by special Liquid Silver wheels and a Black Chrome grille. Beneath the melded bodywork beats a familiar heart. The CTS-V Sport Wagon is endowed as expected with Cadillac's wicked 556-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 that makes 551 pound-feet of torque. It's fitted with a true dual-exhaust system and backed up by either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. Power flows to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential, and the 19-inch wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires.

He increased the displacement to over 6 liters and fitted it with Rochester Fuel Injection, which he himself had developed. Maximum power is said to have been around 520 hp, which was phenomenal in those days. Hyundai has announced some significant changes for its Azera for 2011 that should altogether help this large sedan perform better, use less fuel, and look a bit sharper inside and out. The V-6 engines in the 2011 Hyundai Azera lineup are the same size as last year, but they're more powerful and significantly better on gas. The 3.3-liter now makes 260 horsepower and 233 pound-feet of torque (almost as many horsepower as the larger engine last year) and has fuel economy figures that have improved by two in both the EPA city and highway cycles, to 20 mpg city, 28 highway. The larger 3.8-liter V-6 gets a bump up to 283 horsepower and 263 pound-feet, with ratings up 2 mpg in city driving and a mile per gallon on the highway, to 19/27.The engines in the 2011 Azera have been modernized to include Hyundai's Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (DCWT) and a variable intake system; they have all-aluminum construction and a four-valve-per-cylinder design. Paired with either of these revised engines is a new six-speed automatic that Hyundai designed in-house. Hyundai says it's one of just three automakers to design their own six-speed automatic; the new transmission is lighter than the former five-speed automatic. Like nearly all the automatics in Hyundai's stable, it comes with Shiftronic manual control in a separate gate.   read more concept car   | ||||||
| Posted: 21 Nov 2010 07:55 PM PST  SPY SHOT 2012 HYUNDAI AZERA The affordable large car segment begins, only a bit crowded, and at a time when customers are all over the world to smaller cars, power, fuel consumption and total value downsizing now more important than ever. from South Korea in this area has won many awards lately, especially newcomers like the Hyundai Genesis and the recently announced Cadenza Kia, Hyundai is now designed and should continue that trend with a replacement for its aging sedan Azera the Germans in their homeland with a new Look and packed with technology and features in the interior. The current Azera under the name The size sold in other markets, 2005 was unveiled and has since been a major upgrade. The replacement of the car, seen here as a prototype to test, is expected to end 2011 as a 2012 model and by the looks of things, debut, it seems to have increased significantly. Positioned between the Sonata and the Genesis, Hyundai Azera in 2012 with two V-6 engines are started: a 3.8-liter engine with 305 horsepower on tap and a small Lambda 3.3-liter mill is already for sale abroad . Hyundai new six-speed automatic transmission with a pseudo-mode is likely to become the norm over the entire region.   read more concept car   |
