Eight Botched Environmental Forecasts Posted: 30 Dec 2010 10:14 AM PST A new year is around the corner, and some climate scientists and environmental activists say that means we're one step closer to a climate Armageddon. But are we really? Predicting the weather -- especially a decade or more in advance -- is unbelievably challenging. What's the track record of those most worried about global warming? Decades ago, what did prominent scientists think the environment would be like in 2010? FoxNews.com has compiled eight of the most egregiously mistaken predictions, and asked the predictors to reflect on what really happened. |
Posted: 30 Dec 2010 10:09 AM PST Image via Wikipedia Rising gas prices are the elephant in the room that no one is talking about. With 87 octane gasoline now around $3 a gallon throughout the country, we can expect to start seeing increased prices for the delivery of goods and services, as UPS, FedEx, railroads and even airplanes feel the fuel cost pinch. |
The man who 'invented' Global Warming Posted: 30 Dec 2010 08:15 AM PST I'm in Ireland this week and am not yet sure how close I'll be to the internet. So to tide you over just in case here is a fascinating essay from Ishmael2009 (not his real name) on Sir Crispin Tickell is one of the chief architects of Man Made Global Warming's towering cathedral of half truths, exaggeration, hysteria and Neo-Malthusian lunacy. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, the mighty Ishmael2009….. |
International Conference: Communicating Disaster (Spreading Climate Propaganda) Posted: 30 Dec 2010 08:05 AM PST Communication is a big part of science. But if the science produces results that the elites don't like, then communication often gets subjected to abuse and manipulation. Some think that if you can control the communication, then you can control the science. In climate science, we see this on a daily basis in the mainstream media. The most recent examples are Time and the New York Times trying to convince its readers that cold and blizzards prove the earth is getting warmer. |
Freezing Brits steamed over new green boilers Posted: 30 Dec 2010 08:00 AM PST Five years ago the global warming crowd and their comrades in the Labour Party mandated the use of new green technology boilers in Great Britain. Government and environmental experts said that the 'condensing boilers' would not only greatly reduce the consumer's carbon footprint, but would also lower their heating bills. Saving money and saving the planet, what could be better? |
