Photowalk for a Cause - January 23, 2011, An Appeal

Let me start of by saying THANK YOU to all of you who took time to read this blog and check it every now and then.

It has been a great 2010 for me. Your visits have encouraged me to go out and explore different places of my country. Places that oftentimes don't make it to brochures about my country's beauty. I have gained courage and confidence to go out and explore more nooks and crannies inside the Metro and this year, I plan to explore places around it, again places that are most likely not to make it to brochures, but are definitely a place to see and visit.

I am blessed to have a husband who has always and will always be there to push me beyond my limits as a photographer. Some one who stands beside me to tell me things that no other person would even dare dream to tell me.

This 2011, I would like to be able to share even in a very small way the blessings that I have received.

My prayers were answered when Royginald, a great photographer and a friend of mine posted on his facebook account, a photowalk schedule slated for the 23rd of this month.

Mga Bata sa Ulingan - Photowalk for a Cause

The photowalk aims to help a boy named Bong who has a split lip get the medical attention that he needs. It also aims to put a smile on other children's lips by giving them some medicine, toys and clothes.

I have always wanted to be a photographer with a purpose. Someone who can give back something to the children whom I love to photograph. This photowalk will surely give me that satisfaction and it would surely keep my feet rooted firmly on the ground and most of all, be thankful for everything that I have.

Many photographers will be joining hands to make this possible, many photographers - amateurs, hobbyists and professionals alike would be sharing their blessings, talents and skills on that day.

I am not sharing this to say that I am taking part in something great, it is but a small thing, a small success and for me, a personal milestone. I am sharing this to ask, that those of you who take time to read this blog of mine to please, kindly pray for everyone who will be attending. Please, pray for us, that the weather may cooperate and that we will all be kept safe.
