Ark Avilon - An Unconventional Zoo in the City

Whenever we pass by E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue on our way to Ortigas Center, we always pass by this curious looking structure.

One March afternoon, hubby and I decided to satisfy our curiosity as to what this structure really is.

Surprise! We saw an Ark shaped structure named Ark Avilon. We went inside and we got another great surprise, it's a zoo which was shaped and fashioned from the biblical Noah's Ark.

The Ark is a sister zoo of the much larger Avilon Zoo located in the province of Rizal.

Inside the Ark, we saw animals that we only see on the pages of a book.

Oh yes! I got tons of photos of her. She was so cute and she wasn't camera shy either. What I did to get the photos was to talk to her and wonder of wonders, she responded.

After taking photos of this cute bird, we decided that it was time to leave the Ark and go to our next adventure.
