Climate science seems to work on the principle of "let's find an explanation which kinda sorta makes sense if you don't think about it, and then blame (whatever it is) on CO2."

A classic example is Hansen's claim about the current cold in Europe.

The climate change conference in Cancún has ended with failure to set a target date for the reduction of carbon emissions. The Mexican hosts persuaded 192 out of 193 countries to accept the "Cancún agreement" by the simple trick of aiming for the lowest common denominator — the agreement was secured by deferring decisions on all of the most contentious issues.

Al Gore believes China has taken the lead in attempting to solve what he calls the 'climate crisis'.  Gore is alarmed by this, perhaps because his Generation Investment has been betting on Western solutions, not Chinese ones.  Al's Repower America group had this to say:

Green jobs and investment are moving from the U.S. to China because the American government is not implementing policies that would give more confidence to investors.

Rajendra Kumar Pachauri, Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate ChangeRajendra Kumar Pachauri, Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate ChangeRepresentatives of 193 nations meeting in Cancun, Mexico, apparently still couldn't agree on how to redistribute richer nations' wealth to poorer nations under the pretense of combating global warming. Like last year's UN-sponsored climate conference in Denmark, this global warming summit amounted to little more than hot air.
